Field Joint Coatings

LFM Energy offers field joint coating solutions using heat shrink sleeve (HSS) and viscoelastic (VE) tape which comply to ISO 21809.

The HSS materials are GTS-PE and GTS-PP supplied by Canusa. Both coating materials deliver equivalent performance to, and fusion to, the parent PE and PP coatings with low installation temperatures and resistance to cathodic disbondment.

Our VE tape is STOPAQ supplied by Seal for Life. STOPAQ is a high temperature corrosion-preventing wrap material with excellent adhesion to steel substrate and parent coatings such as PP, liquid epoxies, and FBE. It conforms to irregular shapes and is resistant to many chemicals including acids, alkalis, solvents, salts, etc.
